About the programme

The Humanitarian Aid Bridges: Ukraine – Africa – Asia programme works with volunteers aged 18 and older who want to devote a month or a year to humanitarian initiatives in Ukraine.
We accept participants from various countries in Africa and Asia, help them with paperwork, meet them in the country, and accompany them throughout their entire period of work.

Our volunteers:
• work in warehouses where thousands of humanitarian cargo items pass through every day;
• help assemble kits for families who have lost their homes;
• participate in international information projects;
• support the foundation's work in logistics and aid organisation.

Due to limited air travel, some volunteers travel to Ukraine via the Republic of Moldova. This is standard practice, allowing participants to reach the programme location safely and on time.

Stories of help and our joint contribution

Our warehouses in Odessa: where help begins

During this time, volunteers from Africa and Asia became an integral part of our team. Together, we worked at humanitarian warehouses in Odesa: sorting clothes, packing food kits, and preparing boxes with warm clothes for those who had survived shelling and evacuation.

Throughout 2025, we processed over 15 tonnes of humanitarian aid, and every box passed through the hands of our volunteers. This is a huge joint effort, and we are proud of it.

Support for families who have been forced to leave their homes

One of the most important parts of the programme is helping people who have been left homeless.
With the help of volunteers, we put together 3,200 individual emergency kits. Each kit contained food, clothing, hygiene products, and sometimes even small gifts for children.

This aid was distributed to people in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and surrounding communities. For many families, it was not just a kit — it was a sign that someone remembered them.

When humanitarian aid becomes an international dialogue

Our volunteers are not just warehouse assistants. They are the voice of Ukraine in their countries.
Thanks to the participation of representatives from Africa and Asia, we have created a real bridge of understanding between continents: we held online meetings, shared stories of people who experienced the war, and explained what a humanitarian mission in Ukraine is.

This has helped hundreds of people abroad to see Ukraine from the inside, through the eyes of those who have been here and worked alongside us.
